 The Aims of the 'Engaging Manager' Programme'


This programme will enable managers to: –

  • Define an inspiring, and well scoped, purpose for the team.

  • Define and build, with your team, the perceptions that your team's customers stakeholders need to have.

  • Engender commitment, trust, a sense of fairness, belonging and care

  • Define and implement, in a purposeful way, how synergistic relationships, can be built within the team and organisation.

  • Identify, and tackle, the most important issues that hold the achievements of you and your team back.

  • Align the various team activities, cutting out waste, identifying and tackling bottlenecks, holdups etc.

  • Take a more positive and practical approach to engagement with consultation and recognition techniques

  • Reduce procrastination, the tendency to be wastefully reactive and improve the time culture.

  • Increase energy, innovation, and momentum within the team

  • Learn some new tools to improve delegation, coaching and empowerment and performance

  • Learn how the manager can improve their own performance over the longer term.

 

The programme comprises eight sections. The ideal is to tackle a section a week, with a gap between the fourth and fifth section. There is however lots of flexibility in doing this. You decide what is best!
